We make reasonable efforts to provide accurate, useful information about the plants and products we sell. However, plants are living, naturally variable products, and growing conditions differ from one home, garden, and climate to another.
This Plant & Product Disclaimer explains those limitations and applies to information and products offered by Mary Mae Greenhouses.
1. LIVE PLANTS ARE NATURALLY VARIABLE
Every plant is unique.
Unless a product listing specifically states that the exact plant pictured will be shipped, photographs represent the general variety, appearance, and quality of the plants offered.
The plant you receive may naturally vary from photographs in:
• Height and width
• Leaf count
• Leaf size and shape
• Coloration
• Variegation
• Branching
• Growth habit
• Maturity
• Root development
• Bloom or bud status
• Seasonal appearance
• Other natural characteristics
These variations are a normal part of purchasing living plants and are not necessarily defects.
2. PLANT SIZES
Plant sizes, dimensions, and measurements shown on our website are approximate unless specifically stated otherwise.
When plants are described as 4-inch, 6-inch, 8-inch, or another similar size, that measurement generally refers to the approximate diameter of the nursery pot rather than the height or width of the plant itself unless otherwise stated.
Individual plants within the same pot size may vary considerably in overall height, width, fullness, and maturity.
3. PRODUCT PHOTOGRAPHY
We make reasonable efforts to accurately photograph and represent our plants and products.
Actual appearance may vary because of:

Plant names can vary among growers, nurseries, breeders, botanical references, and the horticultural trade. Taxonomic classifications may also change over time.
Common names are provided primarily for customer convenience.
Where a cultivar, variety, trade name, or botanical name is provided, we make reasonable efforts to use accurate information based on the information available to us.
7. PET-FRIENDLY PLANTS
Some plants may be described, categorized, or marketed as “Pet Friendly,” “Pet Safe,” or similar.
These classifications are based on generally available plant-safety information and are intended to help customers make informed purchasing decisions.
However, these descriptions do not mean that a plant is intended for consumption or guarantee that exposure or ingestion cannot cause an adverse reaction.
Even plants generally regarded as non-toxic may potentially cause:
• Digestive upset
• Irritation
• Allergic reactions
• Choking
• Physical injury
• Individual sensitivities
We recommend discouraging pets from chewing or consuming any houseplant.
8. TOXIC PLANTS

It is not veterinary, medical, toxicological, or poison-control advice.

It is not possible to guarantee that every plant, pot, or growing medium will be completely free of every:

• Bacterium
• Microorganism
• Other naturally occurring organism
We recommend inspecting new plants and temporarily isolating them before introducing them into an established plant collection.
Significant pest issues discovered immediately upon arrival should be reported according to our Live Plant Guarantee.
12. SOIL AND GROWING MEDIA
Live plants may be shipped in different growing media depending on the plant, grower, season, and production method.
Growing media may contain materials such as bark, peat, coco coir, perlite, wood products, mineral components, fertilizer, or other horticultural materials.
The appearance or composition of the growing medium may vary between plants.
Customers with specific concerns about soil ingredients should contact us before purchasing.
13. BLOOMING AND FLOWERING PLANTS
Photographs of flowering plants may show plants in bloom.
Unless specifically guaranteed in the product description, we do not guarantee that a flowering plant will arrive with open flowers or buds.
Bloom timing and duration depend on plant maturity, season, temperature, light, shipping conditions, and growing environment.
Flowers may naturally fade or drop during or shortly after transportation.
14. VARIEGATED PLANTS
Variegation is naturally variable and can change as a plant grows.
Unless a specific level of variegation is expressly guaranteed in a product listing, we do not guarantee:

• Future variegation
• Color intensity
• Variegation on future leaves

19. POT AND PLANT FIT
A planter described as suitable for a particular nursery-pot size does not guarantee a perfect fit with every nursery pot carrying that nominal size.
Nursery pots and decorative containers can vary slightly between manufacturers.

20. DRAINAGE
Decorative pots and planters may or may not contain drainage holes.
Customers should review individual product descriptions before purchasing.
Improper drainage can contribute to root rot, water damage, staining, or damage to furniture and other surfaces.
Customers are responsible for using appropriate saucers, liners, protective surfaces, and watering practices.

Mary Mae Greenhouses is not responsible for damage resulting from misuse, overapplication, improper mixing, use contrary to label directions, or inappropriate application of third-party products.

This disclaimer does not replace or eliminate our Mary Mae Live Arrival Guarantee.
Eligible live plants that arrive dead or significantly damaged may qualify for a remedy under that guarantee.
Nothing in this disclaimer limits any consumer right or remedy that cannot legally be waived.
